Supertrain Records presents a new album by the esteemed ensembles San Francisco Girls Chorus, The Knights, and Trinity Youth Chorus including world premiere recordings by composers Lisa Bielawa with the title track My Outstretched Hand that sets the words of the precocious 19 year old poet Mary MacLane from 1901; to the new work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Aaron Jay Kernis whose major work sets Kai Hoffman-Krull's text Souvenir de la Mer (Remembering the Sea) - a piece which premiered at Jazz at Lincoln Center as part of the New York Philharmonic's 2016 Biennale; and Colin Jacobsen's probing new piece If I Were Not Me, setting a self-examining text by Lydia Davis - conducted by Eric Jacobsen with the Knights orchestra.
